The smile on tha faces of young boaters and knowing that they can help out in an emergancey is worth all you effort in training them to be responsible boaters.
The most important thing today is training our young people in the skills of boater saftey, this is followed up with map reading and looking at the sky line and tree tops above the shore line - this develops where you are on the lake where you are going and how to get back home to where you are staying.
