The fire located east of Halfway Island on the east shore - it started in the early morning - it was phoned in to the MNR Fire Center - when black smoke was spotted torching up a short time later and then flames were seen in the tree tops - a helicopter with a ground crew was dispatched - then the water bomber were sent in to get the fire knocked down
