Even the small fish show that the lake is healthy and reproducing.

Three Generations are now fishing Sydney Lake. Grandpa Ron is waithing for the fourth generation to be old enough to come fishing.

Tips for Crossing the Border

Crossing the border is easy if you follow the quick tips
provided below.

Roll down drivers and passengers windows
Take off sun glasses

Take off your hat
Turn off radio
Look at the customs officer in the eyes
Have Passports open and hand all of them to the customs officer

Answer all questions asked
Keep answers short, simple, and honest
Declare all liquor, tobacco, and firearms if asked
Be patient, respectful, and use good manners

Kane County Goose & Duck Hunt

Enjoyed the hunt the other day. To bad we were all done shooting by 8:15 am. You would not think that this kind of shooting is available in Kane County. There sure were a lot of Geese and Ducks. The contact I have is the Hunting Manager for Kenyon Farms (3000 acres or so) and arranges hunts every day. The season closes January 12, 2009. You will need camouflage, hunting licenses, shells (BB shot) and a stool/bucket to sit on, the blind and decoys (100+) are provided. According to the hunt manager there will always be seven to ten other hunters so we will not be by ourselves. Phil and Dick are in the back row of the photo,if you would like to shoot someday, let them know.

Sydney Lake trip July 2008

The large Pike was caught near the Gap on the last day of our trip in September 2007. The morning temperature was 30 deg F that morning and the lake was blanketed in fog.
